Poured a very dark red; almost coppery colour. Very very dark. has a thick white head when poured that doesnt last very long. It is as the title implies; a very very bitter beer. You can smell the hops and the bitterness right when you crack the bottle. Not much more of a smell then the bitterness of it. when drinking it is very very full flavoured and extremely bitter. Not for the casual beer drinker, I only recommend for experienced beer drinkers, and those who like very bitter beers. All in all i like it very much, but its definitely not for everyone.
Just like any of the other Picaroons beers, this one can only be purchased in New Brunswick. Picaroons are definitely reason enough to come to New Brunswick.
