Picaroons - Feels Good Imperial Pilsner
Up front I have to admit that I have never even heard of an "Imperial Pilsner", much less tried one but here we go.
Pours a very cloudy weird colour, kind of yellow/brown and not very attractive. It does have a full creamy white head though.
The aroma is hay, citrus and fruit, raisin I think.
Feel is very full and rich, nice.
Taste is quite bright and clean, a lot of lemon citrus taste on a solid rich base of bread and hay with grain flavours coming through.
The finish is quite clean although the sweetness from the malt lingers. The citrus and light bitterness clean it up well. This is a good one. The North American hops are a nice addition to a Pilsner and give the beer a completely different character.
