Renaissance - Stonecutter Scotch Ale
 
Pours very dark copper, slightly cloudy with a full tan coloured head.
Aroma of earth, raisins, hints of coffee and chocolate and just a touch of alcohol.

Feel is very rich and creamy.
Taste is very good, starts with coffee and dark berries, raisin or dried plum. Honey and rum fill in the middle with a light citrus finish.
A bit on the sweet side but the citrus in the finish cleans it up fairly well. It still leaves coffee and a sweet liqueur feel lingering in the mouth. Reminds me of rum in a lot of ways.
I like this as an after dinner drink but I wouldn't want too many at a sitting.
