Saint-Arnould - L'Espiègle

Pours a cloudy burnt red color with an off white head.
Aroma is earth and some mild spice.
Full, rich, creamy mouth feel.
A bit of sweetness to start with a bit of dough. It finishes with a hop citrus drying finish that screams for more. Wish I had more.

Saint-Arnould - L'Espiègle

Pours a cloudy, very dark copper with a thick, creamy, light tan coloured head.
Aroma of hard water and herbs of some kind,
Feel is nice and full, creamy and rich.
Taste starts with a hint of toasted grain, honey and whole grain bread come through, there is a really nice dryness throughout from the rye and a light citrus hop finish.
Very clean and refreshing tastes with a lot of flavour. It leaves a peppery feel in the mouth which lingers nicely and adds a lot to the taste.
This is a good one. Wish I had a cellar full of them.

Beer Quote of the day

I like beer. On occasion, I will even drink beer to celebrate a major event such as the fall of communism or the fact that the refrigerator is still working.
