Samuel Smith's Oatmeal Stout

Pours a very dark red, almost black with a large and lasting tan coloured head.
Aroma is chocolate, Molasses and roasted coffee with hints of toast.
Feel is very rich and creamy, very smooth.
Taste is largely bitter chocolate and molasses, some toasty flavours come through with a hint of dark berries, quite faint. There is a very nice light bitterness to keep it bright and a light note of grapefruit and lime citrus in the bitterness along with some bright floral notes.
This is a great tasting brew, it is full and rich enough to let you know you are drinking a serious stout while the bright hop notes give it a clean finish. I could drink a lot of these and would really love one or two with a big bowl of stew and some fresh bread on a cold and blustery winter evening.

Of doctors and medicines we have in plenty more than enough... what you may, for the Love of God, send us some large quantity of beer.
