Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat

Pours a clear pale amber colour with a medium white head which disappears quickly.
The aroma is strongly of raspberries with a slight hint of citrus and dough.
Feel is quite rich and creamy.
Tastes are initially of raspberry with a fairly strong bitterness to it. A drying finish and a bit of a watery taste.
There is an underlying bitterness in this beer which really doesn't belong in there. It starts out with this great raspberry flavour but the hop bitterness is overdone. A more citrus flavoured hop might work better with the berries, as it is, it is neither sweet nor refreshing.
I was really looking forward to this one but I'm afraid I was disappointed.

Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat

Slight raspberry aroma.
Light golden color. I was expecting a bit more pink.
I did pick up raspberry flavor, but what a disappointing brew. It falls flat after first taste of raspberry. No middle and a bitter finish.
This is one beer to leave on the store shelves.

Southern Tier Raspberry Wheat

Pours golden with a thin white head.
Raspberry aroma and nothing else.
Starts out with a slight raspberry flavor but it becomes kind of muddy tasting after that with a bitter finish.
I'm disappointed.

Beer Quote of the day

Under the pressure of the cares and sorrows of our mortal condition, men have at all times, and in all countries, called in some physical aid to their moral consolations - wine, beer, opium, brandy, or tobacco.

— Edmund Burke

(Ah! A smoke and a beer. Pure heaven.)
