St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale

A dark orange/amber colour.
Full white head that didn't last long.
You can really smell the apricot in this beer, that's about all I can smell.
The taste is also full of apricot and really nice. There is a bit of syrup taste in there and a nice tingle on the tongue, At the end it is a very refreshing beer, the sparkle and the fruit tastes go together really well,

St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale

A full white head which quickly reduces to a light ring.
The beer is a clear amber colour, much darker than most wheat beers.
The aroma is strongly of apricot with a bit of yeast and floral hops.
It has a sparkly creamy feel and a lot of apricot taste with a dry bitter finish. It is not overly sweet, and the bitterness finishes it off nicely.
With all of the apricot in both the aroma and the taste you would expect it to be overpowering, but somehow it isn't. There is a very nice sweetness in the lingering aftertaste combined with a bright feeling in the mouth.
All in all, a great blend and definitely a different taste.
I will buy this one again often.

St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale

Dark gold with a short lived pure white head.
Apricot and hop are the major aromas. Just a touch of the malty sweetness finishes the aroma.
Full creamy mouthfeel.
Apricot and citrus are the first to hit the palate with a citrus and a balanced malt sweetness in the middle and a sparking hoppy finish. This is very nice.
Quebec has some very nice beers. Try them folks!

St. Ambroise Apricot Wheat Ale

Wonderful apricot fruity odour.
Dark golden colour.
Can really taste the apricots and has a crisp hoppy finish.
I expected more of a fizz on the palate due to the bubbles in the glass but it was not to be.
Not overly sweet but the taste of apricots made me wanting another sip. Worth another trip to the beer store.

Beer Quote of the day

Had an awesome time. You tell me to show up and all I have to do is drink beer, play guitar all day and I can lift weights and you're going to pay me for this!

— Zakk Wylde

Can't play guitar and lifting weights is like work. Where does the line form for the beer?
