St Ambroise Noir, Oatmeal Stout

Pours black with a tan head that disappears instantly. Has some lace so an unclean glass was not a factor.
Chocolate, burnt caramel nose.
Citrus sharpness to start, with a creamy chocolate middle and citrus coffee bite at the finish.
This stout would compliment any sweet dessert. I tried a taste with a chocolate truffle and it was great.
Premium priced but well worth treating oneself.

St Ambroise Noir, Oatmeal Stout

A thin dark tan coloured head which quickly dissipates.
Very dark, almost Black colour in the glass.
An aroma of citrus and coffee, molasses, or maybe chocolate.
This beer has a thick creamy feel in the mouth. A full taste of chocolate/coffee with a bright citrus sparkle that lasts well into the finish.
It has a very pleasant, long lasting aftertaste, starting with citrus and filled with a creamy coffee/chocolate coating on the tongue.
I will buy this again often. Especially in the colder weather.

St Ambroise Noir, Oatmeal Stout

Pours a thick creamy black. Might be a bit cloudy but it is so dark it's hard to tell. It has a fairly thick dark tan coloured head which is lasting very well and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
It smells a bit like molasses.
It tastes wonderful. There is a nice bit of chocolate and roast coffee in there but somehow it is light and sparkling enough to clean your mouth and make me want more.
The taste is a lot like a coffee with cream and some chocolate. It feels very rich and full in your mouth and then you get this light, sparkling, citrus finish over top of the lingering chocolate tastes.
It really is a great beer and I am going to buy more of it.
