BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Trafalgar Ales and Meads - Portside Amber
A dark amber colour, nice full head which dissipates quickly.
An aroma of honey and hay.
First sip is of toast and molasses, with a nice pleasant tingle from the hops.
This beer has a very full taste, lots of malt sweetness with a great sparkle over the top of it all. Quite a strong biscuit taste under the hops. This one is a winner, it is the last of three I had from Trafalgar, and apparently I managed to save the best for last.
I really like the bright sparkly hop taste with the quieter sweet flavours to fill the whole thing out.
I will be buying this one again. A lot.
I wish it was on tap at my local watering hole.
What I like best is that it starts with a taste of toast and molasses and that is also the lingering aftertaste. All that with a whole selection of tastes in between.

Trafalgar Ales and Meads - Portside Amber
A good one.
Dark copper color. Head is gone immediately, but the lace is strong.
Aroma is dough and possibly honey or some other sweetness.
Medium mouth feel. Not at all watery but not a full rich creaminess.
Well blended for sure. A nice mix of barley malt and a very well done hop finish.
This is a keeper for sure. This I could drink for hours because of the richness of the flavors.
