Trafalgar Brewing - The Black Bullet

A dark coca-cola coloured beer with virtually no head.
Aroma is mostly alcohol with a bit of sour swamp smell.
Feel is quite rich and creamy, it's looking up a bit.
Taste is much better than the aroma. There is the definite presence of alcohol but a lot of raisin and prune tastes come through as well. There is a strong sweet sugar aspect to the taste and in many ways it reminds me of a very sweet port wine.
I don't think I want too many of these, there is not enough definition to the taste and it is far too sweet for me, I am glad I tried it though so it can't be all bad.

Alexander Keith's - Ambrosia Blonde

Pours golden with a short lived thick white head.
All I can detect in the aroma is some kind of fruit.
Medium mouth feel.
Very little hop to this one. Mostly a fruity flavor with a touch of slightly burnt caramel. What little hop flavor there is comes out at the finish which is a fairly nice drying hit.
From a big brewer this is not bad stuff, and it was free. Thank you Keith's!

Beer Quote of the day

Life isn't all beer and skittles, but beer and skittles, or something
better of the same sort, must form a good part of every Englishman's
education.

— Thomas Hughes

(Englishman? Quit hogging. Beer is universal. Who cares about skittles anyway?)
