Malty, aromatic beers. Belgian ales rank high on my list.

Pours dark red with lots of lace but a very short lived head.
Aroma is very slight. Just a bit of citrus and a hint of earthiness.
Medium mouth feel leaning toward creaminess. Very pleasant.
It starts out quite sweet with lots of berry and a sugar sweetness from a molasses or maple base. I has me guessing. The middle has a slight bitterness from a citrus like flavor followed by a sweet and bitter finish.
Very refreshing.
Unlike my esteemed colleague Nemsis I am really enjoying this. Maybe more than I should because he gave it to me. (-:

Traflalgar Brewing - Malted Corpse
Don't have a clue what to expect from this one.
It pours a clear dark red or garnet colour with a thin but lasting off-white head.
Very little aroma, a touch of sweet and maybe some citrus but it is very faint.
Feel is medium full, not watery but certainly not chewy.
Taste is largely roasted malt, this would be a mild stout as far as my taste is concerned.
The dark roasted coffee and burnt chocolate are predominant with enough grapefruit citrus tingle to make it finish cleanly. Some brown sugar and molasses sit way in the background.
It's not bad at all, on the other hand, it's not great either. Just doesn't suit me. I find the burnt toast from the malts to be a bit much.
