Trois Pistoles

A very full, tan coloured head which decreases to a persistent ring on a very dark reddish brown beer, almost as dark as prune juice.
The aroma is of berries, raisins, citrus, spice, and maybe a hint of licorice.
Taste is of berries, raisins, citrus, roasted malt and chocolate. The texture is creamy but fairly thin. This beer is very brightly hopped on a rock solid malt base. There is a heavy alcohol content which you can taste slightly but which is not overwhelming at all.
The aftertaste is a bright floral taste with berries and citrus.
All in all, an excellent beer which I will buy again often.
