Unibroue - Noire de Chambly

Pours a very dark, almost black, red/brown with a thick and rocky, tan coloured head.
Metallic aroma with hints of raisin and spice, maybe cloves.
Feel is very rich and chewy.
A much lighter flavour than I was expecting, a clean hard water taste with light fruit and berry notes. Some raisin, pear and apple tastes along with hints of vanilla and clove. The aftertaste shows touches of coffee, cream and roasted grain.
This is much lighter and more refreshing than I expected from the appearance. Very drinkable and clean tasting. I could get used to this beer.

Beer Quote of the day

When I get a chance to play golf or go on a boat with good people, take the boat out and put some lobsters on the grill, get the ice-cold beer and the cigars - that's heaven here on earth.
