BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Weihenstephaner Hefeweissbier Dunkel
Weihenstephaner HefeWeissbier Dunkel
Pours a cloudy amber/copper colour with a huge. slightly off white head. Rocky and slowly reducing but leaves a lot of lace and a thin cap.
Aroma is quite spicy, lot's of cloves.
Feel is rich and creamy, not at all watery.
Tastes are spice off the top, the way I imagine old sailing ships plying the spice routes into Asia must have smelled.
Cloves and cardamom are prevalent with a hint of pepper. Some dough and a touch of citrus round out the flavours nicely and there is a crisp and clean overall taste.
This is a good one. I really enjoy the spice tastes especially as the weather turns colder and I start to think of warm spicy foods and stews to while away the winter months.
This is a really nice beer, I think I will be buying a bunch of these while they are available.

Weihenstephaner HefeWeissbier Dunkel
Pours dark and cloudy with off white head that lasts and then leaves a cap with lots of lace.
Aroma is all spices. Mostly cloves with some corriander and cardamom.
Mouth feel is medium to full. It has a fair amount of creaminess but not as thick as some.
Spice is right up front with some earthiness. The middle is all cream with a crisp slight hop finish. This is a good one.
