A full, long lasting, off white coloured head on a very dark reddish brown coloured beer.
The aroma is of citrus, floral hops, some biscuity yeast with a slight sourness and a touch of roasted malt and alcohol.
The feel is creamy and bitter.
It's taste is of coffee/chocolate from the roasted malt, citrus and berry with a bit of toast and nuts and a light bitterness.
The citrus and berry taste is up front with a chocolate taste to finish while the aftertaste starts with the roasted malt and lingers with the citrus/berry flavours.
A very nice blend and a very drinkable dark ale. I only have 6 and I want more.

Beer Quote of the day

Oh I have been to Ludlow fair, and left my necktie God knows where. And carried half way home, or near, pints and quarts of Ludlow beer.

— Alfred Edward Housman

(Sounds like a place to visit.)
