BEER is GOOD!
About Bruce Ticknor
Well's IPA (India Pale Ale)
A full, lasting, slightly off white head on a dark coppery beer.
The aroma was fairly faint with some earthy and slightly spicy notes.
This beer has a very full, rich, creamy feel with tastes of honey, bread, some berry, and a quite subdued bitterness which is definitely there but does not jump out at you like the North American version.
There are some earthy tastes and a grassy, lemon citrus bitterness but not the grapefruit citrus which has become common in the American Pale Ale style.
The honey, bready sweetness is right there and lingers nicely while the light bitterness pulls the whole thing together.
I could enjoy a lot of these.
