BEER is GOOD!

Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock
Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock
A thin tan coloured and short lived head which left a nice and slightly rocky coat in my Westmalle chalice. The beer is very dark red/brown coloured, it seems to be clear but because it is so dark it is hard to tell.
The aroma is of dark berries and milk chocolate.
Feel is quite rich, round and creamy.
The tastes are very nice. Some berry and citrus tastes over top of a rich roasted malt coffee taste. Really nice and demanding more.
I'll have some.
The raisin or date tastes sit very nicely in this beer. They ride over the heavier coffee or bitter chocolate flavours and give this brew it's character. A full and rich taste which goes down very well and would make a great accompaniment to a roast beef dinner. I'll buy more of this so I can try it with beef one day.
All in all, Excellent Beer!

Weltenburger Kloster Asam Bock
Very dark cherry colored beer with a thin head that doesn't last.
Not much of an aroma, possibly cherry and some citrus. Some chocolate in the back ground.
Nice thick full mouth feel.
Exotic fruit flavors are predominant. Dates and some figs are there at the beginning. Coffee and roasted chocolate come through with a malty finish.
This is very nice.
