The Spring 2012 L.C.B.O list is out. Some of these look great, I'm looking forward to the Lupulus and the Jaipur especially.

Now that it's all over I thought I would wade in on the Great Beau's Beer Debacle.
I like beer. I like beer a LOT. In fact I like beer so much that I often have trouble NOT talking about beer. Sitting in pubs and someone says something about beer and I have to hold my tongue to keep from jumping in to the conversation and especially to keep from correcting them.
The Winter 2011/2012 L.C.B.O list is out. I like Imperial Stouts so I am glad to see a couple on the list. Also looking forward to the Dominus Vobiscum Double. Their Blanche and Triple were great.
The Fall 2011 beer release list from the L.C.B.O. is out. Some of it sounds interesting and a lot of them are new, at least to me.
Garrison Brewing - Spruce Beer
Pours clear, dark ruby red with a decent sized tan coloured head. Head lasts pretty well.
The aroma is not as strong as I expected, some spruce does come through along with an earthiness and a hint of lemon.
The feel is quite full and creamy.
Garrison Brewing - Grand Baltic Porter
Pours rich and black with a full tan coloured head.
Aroma of raspberry, chocolate, and raisin.
Garrison Brewing - Black I.P.A.
Pours very dark red/brown, stout coloured with a generous light tan coloured head.
Garrison Brewing - Czech Pils
Pours Crystal clear and golden coloured with a health and lasting bright white head.
Aroma is quite faint with hints of earth a a floral note. Just a faint hint of citrus in there somewhere.
Brooklyn Brewing - Monster Ale
Pours a dark copper colour with a decent and lasting off-white head.
Aroma is full of fruit, raisins, dates, apricot at the first sniff with molasses and earth coming through a bit later. Just a hint of an alcohol burn comes through as the beer warms a bit.
